Description

"Legend doesn't merely survive the hype, it deserves it."

From the New York Times bestselling author of The Young Elites

What was once the western United States is now home to the Republic, a nation perpetually at war with its neighbors. Born into an elite family in one of the Republic's wealthiest districts, fifteen-year-old June is a prodigy being groomed for success in the Republic's highest military circles. Born into the slums, fifteen-year-old Day is the country's most wanted criminal. But his motives may not be as malicious as they seem.

From very different worlds, June and Day have no reason to cross paths - until the day June's brother, Metias, is murdered and Day becomes the prime suspect. Caught in the ultimate game of cat and mouse, Day is in a race for his family's survival, while June seeks to avenge Metias's death. But in a shocking turn of events, the two uncover the truth of what has really brought them together, and the sinister lengths their country will go to keep its secrets.

Full of nonstop action, suspense, and romance, this novel is sure to move readers as much as it thrills.

It was hard to get started on it but once June and Day crossed paths it was easy to get through. I love how planned out everything was. There were times where I would smile and laugh at parts but others i almost cried. I love how June questions herself about Day and the difference between the stories of Day and knowing him in person. Great book and can’t wait to read the next book

At fist I thought that it was going to be some stupid love story where they become superhero’s or something but I was wrong. It’s amazing, a little violent, romantic and much more 10/10

I have been searching for a book that made me feel the way other YA books do and this one did it. I loved the different perspectives and the development of both these characters.

I read this book in a day and a half. At first I was on the fence if I would like it so I bought the first book. Now that I finished it I wish that I bought the second one. I kept pulling me in with the twists and turns Also the two main characters are amazing I highly recommend.
