Description

From the New York Times Bestselling Author Penny Reid

One week.

Private beach.

Invisible girl.

Jerk-faced bully.

What's the worst that could happen?

Kaitlyn Parker has no problem being the invisible girl, which is why she finds herself hiding in various cabinets and closets all over her college campus. Despite her best efforts, she can't escape the notice of Martin Sandeke—bad boy, jerkface bully, and the universe's hottest, wealthiest, and most unobtainable bachelor—who also happens to be Kaitlyn's chemistry lab partner.

Kaitlyn might be the only girl who isn't interested in exploiting his stunning rower's build, chiseled features, and family's billionaire fortune. Kaitlyn wants Martin for his brain, specifically to tabulate findings of trace elements in surface water.

When Kaitlyn saves Martin from a nefarious plot, Martin uses the opportunity to push Kaitlyn out of her comfort zone: spring break, one week, house parties, bathing suits, and suntan lotion. Can she overcome her aversion to being noticed? Will he be able to grow beyond his self-centered nature? Or, despite their obvious chemistry, will Martin be the one to drive Kaitlyn into the science cabinet of obscurity for good?

'ATTRACTION' is book #1 in the Elements of Chemistry Series; it is 45k words; and it ends with a cliffhanger.

I really did love this series, I little sappy but still good. However, the first two books end in cliff hangers which I always feel like is the easy way out to get people to buy the next book. I feel like the series really starts getting good towards the middle of the second book.

So glad! I ended up purchasing the other two and flew through them. I won’t give any spoilers but these books were great!

I enjoyed the book but thought it ended abruptly. I’m sad that the series is broken up into so many books and I won’t be able to read the next one.

I loved this series so much! Very well written, romantic, and quirky, making me laugh out loud at times. I finished all 3 in a weekend--who needs a clean house anyway! Very few, if any, grammatical/spelling errors which so often occur with ebooks in general. Also on the plus side, I learned some scientific vocabulary. Can't wait to read other books by this author.

I absolutely loved it. Katy is the whole shy nerdy girl who doesn't think she's beautiful. Martin is the super hunky lab partner who is on the rowing team and likes her. I thought the book was highly entertaining and funny. The banter between them is awesome. Gah, what a cliffy! I can not wait for part 2 to come out. I'm so glad I found this author after reading The Hooker and the Hermit, such great writing! This part right here had a tremendous impact on me, so well said. "She told me I should be proud of my healthy shape and healthy body, and love and treasure it because it was mine. No one, she said, could tell me what to think of my body. If I let another person’s opinion matter I was giving him or her control over me, and I had complete control over my self-image." Bravo.
  • Definitely a new favorite!

This is surely becoming one of my favorites. I return to it (and the next two sequel stories) frequently as a favorite "re-read". Depth if character and thoughts without losing the flow of the narrative and action. Real, quirky characters. Highly recommend!
