Description

From NY Times Bestselling Author, Angie Fox, the first book in the USA TODAY bestselling Southern Ghost Hunter series

5 Stars! “Southern charm, a haunting mystery, and a leading lady I want as my BFF!”

One simple mistake…

When out of work graphic designer Verity Long accidentally traps a ghost on her property, she’s saddled with more than a supernatural sidekick—she gains the ability see spirits. It leads to an offer she can’t refuse from the town’s bad boy, who also happens to be the brother of her ex and the last man she should ever partner with.

Ellis Wydell is in possession of a stunning historic property haunted by some of Sugarland Tennessee’s finest former citizens. Only some of them are growing restless—and destructive. He hires Verity to put an end to the disturbances. But soon, Verity learns there’s more to the mysterious estate than floating specters, secret passageways, and hidden rooms.

There’s a modern day mystery afoot, one that hinges on a decades-old murder. Verity isn't above questioning the living, or the dead. But can she discover the truth before the killer finds her?

Ten years ago, Angie Cox wrote Southern Spirits and I’m reading it now as a light-hearted retreat from the nastier scares I prefer. Quirky lead character is quite charming. The book was good enough to recommend to my sister, and that’s high praise. She’s a fan of cozy mysteries and barely blushing romances. I would never steer her wrong.

This book is funny, mysterious, sweet. I loved the characters and the twist ending. I don’t usually write reviews, but couldn’t resist writing something for this book!

The most fun I have had since I read a cozy mystery with a talking dog. Also I believe it was almost completely free of the dreaded s words that so often appear in these types of stories; snickered and smirked. Congratulations on a funny and entertaining book.

I read a lot. That means that I suffer through a lot of duds. This book certainly wasn’t one. From the beginning this book is just enjoyable to exiting. You won’t regret grabbing this novel. Once you do you’ll likely plan on reading the rest of the series just like me.

This is a great read. I stayed up reading it far too long than I should have but I have no regrets. It’s a fun read and you’ll be glad you read it!

This is definitely a cozy book. It’s quaint in the way that the Sookie Stackhouse novels are with a more young adult feel. I loved this book and can’t wait to read more!
