Roads North: Robert E. Lee's Invasion of Pennsylvania, Day By Day

As part of the run-up to the 150th anniversary of the Civil War's Battle of Gettysburg, Hanover Evening Sun Editor Marc Charisse chronicled Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee's march to Pennsylvania.

Beginning June 2, 1863, at Fredericksburg, Charisse tracks Lee's army and the Union Army as they maneuver until the bloody clash in the beginning of July. He continues the tale until the Army of Northern Virginia makes its way back across the Potomac on July 14 — bloodied, beaten and limping.
