    I didn’t enjoy this *quite* as much as the previous books featuring Yasmen and Soledad, but I still tore through this in a few days. The complications of Hendrix and Mav’s story are really tough, and I appreciated that what brings them together is more of an emotional connection before a physical one. Once it becomes physical …. WHEW! It’s explosive. I did feel like there were some sub-storylines/twists that were introduced pretty late into the books that felt a little rushed and resolved too quickly. I’m not sure all those were needed. Just like the others, you’re rooting for these women, you root for their enduring friendship that has seen them through the darkest times in their lives, and you and revel in them finding love with men who are *obsessed* with them exactly as they are. As in the world falls away completely and they only see their women. It’s sweet and so affirming. And she makes it okay for these extraordinary women who have stood on their own to also stand with the men who love them, and it doesn’t undermine them or make them less in any way. Kennedy Ryan writes for Black women and she gives them the lives they dreamed of — because they and we deserve it all. BRB, gonna read everything Kennedy Ryan has ever written.

    I did enjoy this book. It was bitter sweet that the skyland series had to come to an end, but the moment for Hendrix Yasmeen and Soledad all came full circle. I just was hoping a unexpected surprise of Hendrix getting pregnant would have added a little more spice to the ending just to see if Maverick would continue to love her but instead they got a dog. The ring had to be the best for both of them which I can still appreciate.

    Wow!!!!!!!! This novel was ABSOLUTELY riveting and I couldn’t put it down! The characters and the characters development as the story progressed was a masterpiece!!! I saw so much of myself in Hendrix, it was like Ryan Kennedy was telling my story!!!

And to speak on such important such as the stress of being a caregiver, declining health of a loved one, wealth gap for minorities, and so on! We love Kennedy Ryan! I live for her!

    I absolutely love all books in this Skyland Series. From the first to the last, Ms. Ryan has done her thing!!! It was amazing to get insight of Hendrix and her world — from choosing to be child free, pushing through challenges in her career, to her love for her mom, friends, and Maverick. An absolute joy in reading!

    I started reading this book on a flight and could not put it down. The book fully captures the feeling and experience of meeting the one! I was so captivated with Hen and Mav’s story. The pages kept turning as I read this in the wee hours of the morning. However, it left me wanting to know so much more about the characters. It was an amazing read.
