Read the book,it was great. The books are set back in Ancient Greece, which makes it interesting. But they add modern twists and modern day situations in the series, which makes it relatable, humorous, and entertaining. Its a great book for young girls, preteens, and early teens!

I absolutely love this book!! I am 10 and in 4th grade. This book is good for girls my age. Good for anyone how is interested in Greek mythology or loves to learn new things. My friend likes the Percy Jackson books about Greek mythology and I decided it might be cool to know a little about it. I've got to show him what I know now!!!!!
  • Good, in need of more details.

The book "Athena the Brains" by Joan Hulbu is an interesting book that puts a modern twist on Greek myths. Also so humor is added when Poseidon declares what he wants after he gets second place in an invention contest, "I would like a chewing gum named after my trident so mortals would not get it confused with a pitchfork." I thought that was extremely funny. Get the book, read it, then write a review because it seems like the type of book some people would hate, and others would love. Young adults and children would adore this book because the main character is around that age. But it does need more details throughout the book on the setting. For example, I had to keep guessing then going back to my previous guesses and correcting them on my new guesses. What I mean by that is, throughout out the book you don't know what time period it takes place in. Weather modern day or Ancient Greece. Overall I enjoyed this book very much and hope the author keeps continuing this seris, Goddess Girls.
