Description

She came home for Christmas. She didn’t expect her past to be waiting.

Linnea Olsen never planned to return to Marietta for good. But when her parents need help saving the family orchard and cider business, she packs up her life and moves home with her daughters—just in time for Christmas. Determined to rebuild a future, she throws herself into planning a holiday charity concert… then quickly realizes she’s taken on more than she can handle.

Nat Hathaway, a successful singer-songwriter burned out from life on the road, slips back into Marietta hoping for peace, quiet, and a fresh start on his next album. What he doesn’t expect is to run straight into his high school sweetheart—or to be volunteered as her co-organizer for a Christmas concert he never agreed to run.

As snow falls and rehearsals begin, old feelings spark back to life. Nat is drawn to the warmth Linnea has built for her girls. Linnea is tempted by the man Nat has become—but she can’t risk her daughters’ hearts on a romance destined to end when the holidays do.

When the season ends, will Nat leave Marietta behind again—or choose the only home that’s ever felt right?

This was a wonderful holiday story that truly touched my heart. Going home can sometimes be hard but it also is sometimes exactly what you need. That's the case for Nat Hathaway and Linnea Olsen. They dated in high school but went their separate ways after graduation. Now he's a disillusioned songwriter/singer and she's a widowed mother of two young girls. She came back to help her family and start over, he came back to look for a little inspiration to finish writing songs for his new album/ When Linnea convinces Nat to help her with a Christmas charity concert the get to spend a lot of time together and discover that the old attractions are still there. Put this one on the holiday reading list, I highly recommend it.
